Pride & Prejudice - Book Review
"Think only of the past, as its remembrance gives you pleasure"
Not many stories evolve in a manner so similar to this masterpiece of Austen's, Pride and Prejudice. Jane Austen has put in her great intellect and insight while penning down this tale. The one, which beautifully brings forth the relationship between the characters that is still difficult to create to date.
It all begins with a pair of the most intense and, to a certain degree, negative emotions, the pride of Mr. Darcy towards every kind of human race especially that of the feminine type, and the Prejudice of Miss Elizabeth Bennet against the same Mr. Darcy whom she thinks is the most insolent, conceited, and sardonic creature ever to make it to Earth. The two of them seem to dislike each other because of the lack of affinity between their characters but, what we call as fate, has its own plans for them, as they soon realize what they both had been thinking of each other was actually well apart from reality.
That is when they start to form a feeling of liking for each other and the same feeling gradually burgeons into so sweet and pure an emotion, that is love. Austen's, art of delivering the whole account through simple words is what never fails to hook the readers till the end and the author has managed it perfectly well in her books. And resultingly, out of all the other ones of her books, Pride & Prejudice will always have a special place in the heart of its readers.
